Art has always been an active part of my life ever since I could read and write. Whether it was drawing cars from cutout magazines and hanging them all over my bedroom wall, or creating original drawings with my vivid imagination such as my own comic book characters, art has been one of those things that has brought me the most sense of satisfaction and in some ways catharsis. My journey begins in my hometown of Accra, Ghana, growing up as the oldest of 3 children from 2 hardworking parents, I was uncertain about what I wanted to do with my life, as I thought I was good at so much, but could not pinpoint what I would want to leave a legacy with. It took some time but thanks to a little thing called COVID-19 which grounded the whole world to a halt, I had an epiphany. It just came to me. Art was my calling which I decided to pursue relentlessly.

I hope to tell a vivid story of the experiences that I have lived from my childhood all the way to my modern day life, and to see how that mirrors the overall experiences that being a young black man goes through to either embrace the world around you or react to it. Despite us all being different in our own way and navigating the troubles, uncertainties and the delights of our environments, my artwork inspires to find some common ground between all of us. This is merely my interpretation of how I interact with the current world around me, and in many ways also reminiscing about aspects of my past which I hold very near and dear to me, and through my artwork I hope to also explore how past and present shape us in the most intricate way possible.
